Anyone who calls our phone main line, emails for general information or swings by the Hornig Companies office interacts with Darlene, our office manager/ receptionist/ greeter/ troubleshooter extraordinaire. This month we sat down with the one and only Darlene and asked her some questions..
Q: How did you get started with Hornig Companies?
A: I got started with Hornig Companies as a resident, then I became a caretaker and finally joined the team full-time seven years ago!
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job at Hornig Companies?
A: I pride myself on providing excellent customer service day in and day out. I particularly love that my role at Hornig Companies allows for a wide variety of problem solving and communication.
Q: Can you describe your job?
A: “I get to listen, interpret and apply what I know and help people figure things out. It makes my day when the “I got it” moments happen!”
Q: What do you do outside of work in your free time?
A: I enjoy cooking and working on crafty projects. I especially loves spicy food!
Q: Have any recommendations for food around the Twin Cities?
A: Theresa’s in Golden Valley is my #1 favorite restaurant right now. I also really enjoy Everest on Grand in St Paul, Namaste Café and Kinhdo in Uptown, and Red Cow has the best turkey burger!
